Image imports
Solesca enables you to overlay raster graphics on the map. These can be imported by clicking the "Upload" button in the upper-left. We accept several file formats, including PNG, JPEG, and even PDF. These can be especially helpful to overlay blueprints or site designs of unbuilt infrastructure, or to upload up-to-date drone imagery.
Moving image imports
The hotkey to move your image around is Shift + drag, the same as it is for all other layers in Solesca.
Rotating image imports
To rotate image imports, you first need to select the image by clicking on it. Then, if you hover your cursor around the corner of the image, it will change to a rotation icon, and you can rotate the image.
Scaling image imports
Solesca provides two ways to scale image imports. The first is to simply drag the corners in and out.
By default, aspect ratio is preserved, but if you want to break the aspect ratio, you can hold Shift and drag
the corner. Alternatively, if your image has some sort of scale or measured distance, you can use the "Draw to resize"
feature. First, click the "Draw to resize" button, then click two endpoints of a known distance on your image.
Type the intended distance in the "Real distance" field, and click "Apply resize."
