Poles
Solesca allows you to enter a pole order for any Ground Mount New Service interconnection. This pole order can contain any of the below six different pole types in any order:
Customer meterCustomer recloserCustomer GOAB: Gang Operated Air BreakerUtility meterUtility cutoutUtility recloser
To add a pole, simply click Add pole in the engineering stepper or in the pole inspector panel. When you add a pole,
it is added as unselected by default. To change the order, select the pole you want to change and choose the desired pole type.
If that pole type is already in use, we will swap it to the new location.
Placement
To place poles on the map you must place all transformers and the POI. Poles will always end at the POI, they can start in three different places depending on the system configuration and placed equipment:
Transformer (XMFR): If you have no grounding transformers and no MV underground line, the last-labeled transformer (A,B,C) will be considered the interconnection transformer.Grounding Transformer: If you have a grounding transformer and no MV underground line, the riser pole will connect to the G-XFMR.MV Underground Line: If you have placed a MV underground line, the riser pole will connect to the end point of this run.
Once you have placed the starting equipment and the POI, the poles will automatically appear on the map. We set a riser distance from the first equipment placement and the max pole
distance, both of which can be modified. We will ensure all required poles (all poles in the pole order + a Riser pole) are placed. If the distance is long,
we will add Connection pole(s) between the riser and the pole order poles.
You can select any automatically added pole and drag it to form a pole run. Whenever you modify it we will recalculate which poles should be placed where based on the above logic. Each point you manually click and place will be saved and appear in orange, whereas any pole that was auto-placed will appear in gray.
You can see the total poles and distance as well as the pole order in the pole inspector which can be accessed by clicking on any pole or the pole line.
