BESS + Solar 8760

Battery 8760s

8760 exports contain hour-by-hour simulation data for one year for your design (24*365=8760). To generate a Battery 8760, click the export button in the upper-right, and then "BESS + Solar 8760." You will have the option to either download separate 8760s (one for each field) or combined 8760s, which is the default and combines all fields into a single CSV file. The primary fields to look at are

  • Electricity to grid from battery AC: AC export from the battery system only.
  • Electricity to grid from system AC: AC export from the solar to the grid only. We aggregate these columns to get the total system export to the grid in the BESS pdf report.

Column definitions

ABattery state of charge%The remaining capacity of the battery at a given time, expressed as a percentage of its total capacity.
BBattery voltageVThe electrical potential difference between the positive and negative terminals of the battery.
CBattery currentAThe rate of electric charge flowing into or out of the battery. Positive values indicate charging, negative values indicate discharging.
DBattery temperature°CThe internal temperature of the battery, which can affect its performance and lifespan.
EElectricity from battery to system ACkWThe amount of AC power being supplied from the battery to the system's AC bus.
FElectricity from battery to system DCkWThe amount of DC power being supplied from the battery to the system's DC bus.
GElectricity to/from grid ACkWThe amount of AC power being exchanged with the grid. Positive values indicate power being drawn from the grid, negative values indicate power being sent to the grid.
HElectricity to load from system ACkWThe amount of AC power being supplied from the system to the electrical loads.
IElectricity to load from battery ACkWThe amount of AC power being supplied directly from the battery to the electrical loads.
