Obstruction Templates
Obtsruction templates allow you to create preset configurations that can be applied to new and existing designs. They contain customizable height and setback configurations for different obstruction types. Obstruction templates are applied at the design level ensuring that all obstructions for that design adhere to your standards. Once applied to a design, all obstruction of each type will have the setbacks and height within the template. You can even customize individual obstructions once templates are applied if you want specific obstructions to deviate from the template!
Creating obstruction templates
To create an obstruction template, go to Obstruction Templates (opens in a new tab), click "+ Obstruction template", and enter your unique values for each obstruction.
Updating obstruction templates
The easiest way to update an obstruction template is to click on its row. Additionally, you can click the checkbox to the left of the row and click "Edit."
Important: Whenever you update an obstruction template, all designs that currently use that template will update as well. Only if an obstruction has different values from the previous template (meaning data has been locally overwritten), will it not update if the obstruction template is changed.
Duplicating obstruction templates
To duplicate an obstruction template, click the checkbox for the template, and click "Duplicate."
Deleting engineering templates
To delete an obstruction template, click the checkbox, then "Delete."
If you delete a template that is currently in use, the design(s) using it will simply "break away" from the template.
